Configure auto-draft

Let HubWho pull saved cards or ACH on the invoice due date so you don't chase payments.

Auto-draft is the single biggest A/R-efficiency lever in HubWho. It pulls a client's saved card or bank account on the invoice due date automatically, failed pulls surface for follow-up, with automated dunning on the roadmap.

Enable per-client

On any client detail page, toggle Auto-draft → On. The client must have at least one saved payment method (card or ACH).

Every subsequent invoice for that client is created with autopay enabled by default. Individual invoices can override (useful for one-off charges you'd rather collect manually).

Enable as a tenant default

In Settings → Billing, flip the 'Auto-draft new clients by default' toggle. From then on, every new client onboarded gets auto-draft enabled the moment they save a payment method.

How failures are handled

If the pull fails (insufficient funds, expired card, frozen ACH), the invoice flips to past_due and surfaces for follow-up. Automated dunning — emails on the schedule you set, optional SMS via Twilio, and a final 'pause provisioning' step — is on the roadmap; the policy config is in place today.
